hey, look! i finally finished this pillow i started back in september, yesterday! 
and look! it's resting gracefully on my bed, next the this other pillow i made last year :) 
i love finishing up projects! specially, the ones that sit around for a long time and i wonder if i'll ever get to them.

so, i know i voiced my opinion the other day, about my feelings towards v-day this month. now, don't get me wrong but when i saw this pattern in my stash, i couldn't help but say "aww, this is too cute", to myself {yes, i talk to myself all the time!} hey, i still stand by what i said, but a little stitchy pattern like this one never hurt anyone, right? so here it is!

to share a little embroidery i've been doing:
they're his & her pillowcases for the hubby and i! i haven't done much embroidering lately... just extremely busy on the home front. my mother had total knee replacement surgery last month, so i've been helping out with her rehabilitation whenever i can. oh, and not to mention these guys!
they keep me busy even when they are not around!

these last few days have been quite cold here in chicago. what a way to start the new year/decade! here i am waiting and cheering for my boys while they sledded yesterday.
and admiring the wintry woodlands while i cheered and waited:)
